A year and a half ago I made a post about the old BABYMETAL singles that are still available to this day and how to buy them. Now I will talk about the ones that are no longer available, which are (sadly) many more. These would be the various Limited and Special editions which were sold around release, some of them exclusively at shows.
BABYMETAL released 4 physical singles between 2012 and 2013. The first was a collaboration with Kiba of Akiba, which included one single from each artist, as well as one cover from each artist, of a song of the other artist. The other 3 each include the main feature song, a B-side song, and both of those as instrumental versions. All of these are listed below.
Also listed below are the newer ones released, in 2018 (Distortion) and 2020 (BxMxC).
First, there is an update I should add to the previous post: Headbanger!! was re-released in late 2020 alongside the “10 BABYMETAL YEARS” compilation album. The only real difference is it now no longer includes the BABYMETAL DEATH bonus “music video”.

Doki Doki ☆ Morning
The first single release by BABYMETAL. The song was made available before on Sakura Gakuin’s first album “2010 Nendo ~message~”.
The white version was a DVD single with the regular MV, meanwhile the Limited Edition black version came with a DVD with the “Dance ver. MV”, which features a still shot of the full choreography, and a t-shirt.

Headbanger!! (Limited Edition)
Released alongside the regular edition, the CD has the same tracklist, but doesn’t come with the BABYMETAL DEATH “Music Video”. It does however come in fancier packaging and with a neck corset.

Ijime, Dame, Zettai
The IDZ single was the first big release for BABYMETAL, and as such featured multiple limited and special editions. There are a total of 7 editions, all with unique covers. There is the regular version, 3 Limited Edition’s which come with a special version of IDZ, as well as a unique DVD for each. Finally, there are 3 Special Editions which were sold exclusively for the LEGEND IDZ shows, these all come with Headbanger!! (Night of 15 mix), which many fans don’t know had a studio release.

Megitsune
This is the single with the most versions, a total of 8! They are the regular version, 3 Limited Editions that come with Onedari Daisakusen and a unique DVD for each, with 4 Special Editions that come with Megitsune (TEKINA Mix), a remix made by Megitsune’s own arranger, Yuyoyuppe.

Distortion
Distortion was released in May 2018 as a digital single and played for the first time the following day on the first show of the US tour. Later, in September 2018, it was announced that the single would be released as a vinyl.
It was released in 2 versions, a black one and a red limited edition released for Record Store Day. The black one was only sold in Japan, while the red one was only sold in the US, UK, and parts of Europe. The black one featured a more distorted artwork on the cover.

BxMxC
This song originally released exclusively on the Japanese-versions of the METAL GALAXY album in 2019. But after the popularity the song received during the 2020 METAL GALAXY WORLD TOUR in EUROPE, BABYMETAL decided to release a MV in late 2020 at the start of the 10th Anniversary, as well as announcing the song would release digitally worldwide, with a single vinyl release in Japan.
