Purchase links and full breakdown

A lot of news today about the new album! We got the setlist for the International version and the Japanese version (as well as the vinyl’s). We also got confirmation about the MV’s included in the Japan first press edition, as well as the show/songs included in THE ONE edition.

It releases early in Japan, on Tuesday, October 8th. It’s Friday 11th elsewhere. This is in line with what happened for Metal Resistance (they also had a big release event in Japan).

This CD includes not 1, but 5 colaborations. We already knew about PA PA YA!! featuring Thai rapper F.HERO, but now we also know about guitarist Tak Matsumoto from B’z, featured on DA DA DANCE. Vocalist Joakim Brodén from Sabaton, featured on Oh! MAJINAI. Guitarist Tim Henson and Scott LePage from Polyphia are featured on Brand New Day. And finally, vocalist Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy is featured on Distortion.

This does seem to mean we will be getting a new version of Distortion, and a new English-only version of Elevator Girl (this one coming only on the International edition). They also confirmed the names of songs, so we know Ind-Metal/Shanti is officially “Shanti Shanti Shanti”.

We also now know that we will be getting a Shanti Shanti Shanti MV, as well as 7 songs from LEGEND M.

Also big news is that we got the first album/single cover since Megitsune that come with individual members of BABYMETAL on them!

Finally, the digital versions are now up for pre-order.

As their band name, BABYMETAL represents “the birth of a new genre of music that combines Japanese pop with metal”, hence the term “baby” in the name, the new album expresses LIGHT & DARKNESS, emotions like duality and ambivalence, and “new metal” created by various chemical reactions as other entities evolved and expanded in this album.

Just like the Sun and the Moon changes the appearance of this world with its daylight and moonlight, with evermore new type of various sound, their music paints the metal galaxy in different colours.

The album includes 5 songs that feature guest appearances from worldwide musicians who were perfect to the character of each song.

Guitarist Tak Matsumoto from B’z is featured on DA DA DANCE. Vocalist Joakim Brodén from Sabaton is featured on Oh! MAJINAI.
