This years edition of BABYMETAL’s membership program has been announced.
For the most part, the basic details remain the same. Same dates, April to late March of the following year, and same benefits, METAL name, access to exclusive ticket lotteries for shows in Japan, access to exclusive merchandise on BABYMETAL’s official store in Japan (A!Smart), and the official Discord (added last year). But on top of that there are some small changes, such as a digital photo card and a T-shirt with all the dates of 2023 on the back, as well as one very big change.
For the first time ever, becoming a member can be done digitally, it no longer requires purchasing a physical product. This is something many fans had been asking for a while, especially those living outside Japan as shipping costs were many times more than the cost of the membership itself. It also brings a slight drop in price compared to last years membership, dropping from ¥5,500 to ¥4,250 (including fees). However, for those that do want the membership item (in this case, a T-shirt), it sadly does significantly increase the cost, as now one must become a member for ¥4,250, and only after one can purchase the T-shirt, for an additional ¥4,500 + shipping. So effectively for “the same product” (membership + item), it went up from ¥5,500 to ¥8,750.
So far only pre-registration has been announced, no information yet regarding regular registration, but given the past, they should give more information in April.

THE ONE 2024 Info
Opens: April 1st, 2024
Closes: March 31st, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (JST)
Usage Fees: ¥4,000 (tax in) + an administrative fee of ¥250 (tax in) will be charged separately for the registration process.
This fee is for the entire membership (April 2024 to March 2025), regardless of the time of sign up.

Requirement for pre-registration: to be a THE ONE (2023) member (it’s still currently possible to become a member by buying the T-shirt)
