BABYMETAL has announced a new album which releases in March 2023! This time it’s smaller (10 songs), based around the concept of 10 parallel worlds that exist beyond time and space, which were sealed in “THE OTHER ONE – BLACK BOX“. These are the 10 songs that members of THE OTHER ONE – DIGITAL GALLERY have been listening to for the past several months.
Before its release in March, 5 digital singles will become available for download and streaming. They will do so in October, November, January, February and March.
To no one’s surprise, there are several different versions of the album. Outside of Japan it’s sold as a CD with 10 additional variants that come with different collectable art cards, and as a vinyl with 6 different colors to collect.
Meanwhile, in Japan there are 5 versions: a standard edition CD, a limited edition vinyl, a first press limited edition CD, a “BLACK ALBUM” CD, and THE OTHER ONE limited edition “CLEAR BOX,” which will be sold exclusively to members of “THE OTHER ONE – DIGITAL GALLERY”.
As always, there are several types of pre-order bonuses in Japan, some are time based and others are store based. On top of that there are 2 special code’s, a “CLEAR CODE” and a “BLACK CODE”. The BLACK CODE is included only in the BLACK ALBUM version and allows the owner to apply for tickets to the “BABYMETAL RETURNS – THE OTHER ONE – “ live shows in January 2023 in Japan (requires Japanese phone number). We don’t have any info on what the CLEAR CODE is yet, it will be announced in January, with the usage period in February.
