May 5th is Children’s Day in Japan, a national holiday that marks the end of Golden Week. This national holiday was established in 1948, as a day on which to esteem the personalities of children and plan for their happiness. It has been a day of celebration in Japan since ancient times.
On this day, and for some time before it, families who have a boy in their home may fly koinobori and decorate their homes with armor or samurai dolls.
The actual items were sold in December 2015 for Yokohama Arena, with the same exact pictures:
They have also released other baby/toddler items such as:
- The BRUTAL BIG FOX bib at the BIG FOX FESTIVALS (September-October 2017) for ¥2000
- BABYMETAL x JACK-O-LAND Kids costume (with hair rubber) Halloween at Jack-O-Land (October 2017) for ¥12,000
