Oricon does charting for Japan, while Billboard does it for the US.

The album and band charted lower this year than in 2014, 2015, and 2016 (tied with 2017) on Billboard. METAL GALAXY did beat BABYMETAL (2014) by a bit on Oricon (Japan), however. Check out all the numbers below.

Here are the charts for the first week (worldwide) and here they are for the first month (Japan only).

Oricon 2019 Charts (Japan):

Album sales: #47, with 96,735 in sales.

For comparison:
BABYMETAL (2014): #52 with 83,773 in sales
METAL RESISTANCE (2016): #17 with 230,264 sales (133,881 of which were in the first week)
