Inspired by the recent release of METAL GALAXY, BMD Fox Apparel will get it’s 3rd set of clothing, called “Ground Y feat. BABYMETAL “GALAXY” Collection”. This is the first that is a collaboration. It was developed by Yohji Yamamoto, a known and recognized Japanese fashion designer. He has done collaborations with many companies and artists, including Adidas’ Y-3 line, Hermes, Elton John, etc.
The first set (“EPISODE I”) is still available, while the second (“EPISODE NOIR“) was only available at pop-up booths in Tokyo for a short time a year ago. This one will first be only available at a pop up booth, but will then become available online.
This set includes one of the most expensive branded officially sold BABYMETAL merchandise items, though the “ESP E-II Arrow-7 Babymetal” guitar, sold in 2016, is still the most expensive at ¥310,000 ($2,850 USD).

A graphic jumbo cut-and-sew that combines the apparel brand “BMD FOX APPAREL” logo and the “Ground Y” logo, where BABYMETAL challenged efforts beyond the framework of existing concepts in order to propose new stories and new lifestyles. Silk satin long shirts that have been reconstructed through Yamamoto’s filter and transferred to a three-dimensional space pattern realize a unique texture with exquisite drape and gloss. The visuals of this collection were taken by MASATOSHI YAMASHIRO, who started his career in Los Angeles and New York, and currently works in Tokyo as a fashion magazine and advertisement.
