The Forum has achieved high ranks in Japan on its first day of sales. The DVD ranked #1 and the blu-ray #2 on Oricon’s daily charts for May 12th. It also did well in CD Japan and Amazon Japan’s own rankings. You can find all of them listed here.
It sold 90,815 album units in October. It sold quite a lot less (and ranked below) METAL RESISTANCE which ranked #4 and had 132,881 in sales for March 2016.
BABYMETAL is recognized by name and face by 22% of the Japanese population, and 14.6% of people have interest in them (listening to their music, want to know about them, etc.). Year-over-year, BABYMETAL’s public recognition falls for the 2nd consecutive year (again at -2%), meanwhile the public interest falls for the first time at -10%.
